Albany Community Action Partnership (ACAP) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals and families throughout Albany County overcome poverty and achieve greater economic independence. For 60 years, we have worked alongside our community to expand opportunities through early childhood education, career development, energy assistance, and essential support services. Our Head Start and Early Head Start programs help children build strong educational foundations, while our Career Services programs prepare adults for employment through training, job readiness, and professional development. We also help eligible households improve energy efficiency, reduce utility expenses, and connect with community resources. Through our commitment to empowering families across generations, we strive to create pathways toward lasting financial stability, stronger families, and thriving communities.
