In Our Own Voices, Inc. (IOOV) is an Albany-based nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering LGBTQ+ Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) throughout New York's Capital Region. We provide culturally affirming services that promote physical and mental health, safety, economic stability, and community connection.
Our programs include free HIV and Hepatitis C testing, emotional support, emergency food assistance, housing advocacy, social support groups, and connections to essential community resources. We also provide education, professional training, and advocacy to address discrimination and improve access to services.
Through compassionate support, community partnerships, and advocacy, we work to ensure LGBTQ+ people of color have the resources, opportunities, and welcoming spaces they need to live healthy, safe, and empowered lives.
