Acts of Faith (AoF)

An Act of Faith is a small, organic expression of spiritual community that grows naturally out of everyday life. It begins wherever people already gather — around shared interests, meaningful questions, creative pursuits, acts of compassion, or the simple desire for connection.

Rather than asking people to enter a church building or join an established religious institution, Acts of Faith encourages people to create spaces of belonging, care, reflection, and shared purpose right where they are. These communities might emerge in coffee shops, neighborhoods, homes, senior communities, online gatherings, arts spaces, study circles, shared meals, or service projects.

Inspired by the grassroots, relationship-centered communities of early Christianity, Acts of Faith offers a flexible approach to spiritual life in a changing world. Some groups embrace the model as the foundation of their entire community or ministry, while others incorporate individual Acts of Faith alongside more traditional congregational structures.

At its heart, Acts of Faith are about allowing spiritual community to grow wherever people discover meaning, connection, and a desire to care for one another.
